Alternative school or homeschooling is legal in India.
It is a suggestion that parents sign up to kindergarten and primary school up to UKG (Upper KG). Reason being not many parents can teach the basics to a child in the same way as a teacher. Secondly, the child understands that learning is extremely valuable. Many parents are very easy-going and cannot push a child as much as a teacher.
Homeschooling can be started in Grade 1.Ideally, I analyze the curriculum offered by different institutions (websites) and decide what a child of grade should learn. Here, we need to understand a child’s capacity and capability.
Then it would be wise to look/arrange for different sources of study material:
